The obligation of fasting during Ramadan  should not become a  burden for those who run it. Including those with coronary heart disease (CHD).
It is better for being careful  in choosing for sahur and breaking menu, because that is the thing should not be forgotten. By ignoring it  could have been aggravate the disease condition.

Therefore, it is suggested, if necessary to consult a doctor before fasting.  
Ibnu Sina-Hospital heart specialist Dr. Rachfita Chandra Dewi Gresiyana SpJP FIHA stated, when doing fasting, diet should be adjusted.






 
 CHD patients should minimize the consumption of salt and sugar, because by doing so, it could have made heart conditions get worse.
consuming too much salt will increase the content in the blood vessels. As a result, blood pressure goes up.

'' Salt causes water retained in the body as well. It causes the heart's performance is getting harder, '' she explained.

In the meanwhile, high sugar levels will accelerate the narrowing of blood vessels. As a result, the walls of blood vessels would become clogged. '' It was very closely associated with diabetes, '' she said.

In fact, the content of fruits and vegetables can replace sugar. Fruits such as  apples, oranges, bananas, papayas, , could provide sufficient energy supply. 
'' Therefore, it is advisable to  consume more fruits and vegetables, '' she said.
