Heavy rain which has flushed in almost all regions of Purbalingga, Central Java province, on Saturday (18/6) to Sunday (19/6) morning, made some areas hit by floods and landslides.

Based on the observation which is done by local authority,  a landslide occurred in some areas in the District of Rembang. As a result, at least seven villages in the sub district had isolated because of four connecting road to the seven villages are disconnected.

Local authority said the landslide occurred due to heavy rain which flushed in the region, for one night.
"Landslide occurred in different time. In the village Panusupan that occurred at approximately 22:30 pm, while in Sumampir occurred at around 20:30 pm," he explained.

Head of Public Works Department (DPU) The Purbalingga Sigit Subroto promised that he would  opening soon the access road  to areas hit by landslides. Meanwhile, he will decrease the heavy equipment. "as per schedule, heavy equipment will be started by  tomorrow," he said.

Purbalingga Regent H Tasdi while visiting a number of areas affected by landslides, asking for handling should be done immediately.

"I am asking that this thing should be addressed shortly, and it should be done properly before Lebaran," ordered the regent to officials  SKPD.
